Have you ever considered doing any ESC project? If the answer is yes then I know exactly how are you feeling right now. I am here to take you on a small journey with me and share my experience of almost three months in Portugal. Let me start from the very beginning. I want to emphasize the fact that I was deliberating the idea for quite a long time. If you overthink you can always find barriers that will stop you from having such an amazing opportunity so my only advice here is don’t think and just do it. My adventure was full of challenges from the first second I decided to take part in the project but that is the whole point of these kinds of programs. You challenge yourself and along the way you grow, you learn, you educate yourself, and maybe even share your knowledge with others. This is not only an amazing chance to travel to many different counties and to get to know other cultures and people but also develop your professional skills, and widen your point of view and horizon. In my opinion, anyone under 30 should dare to do an ESC project at least once in their life. I couldn’t finish this story of mine without giving deserved credits to both of the NGOs making all of these possible FIOH and ADAMASTOR. To conclude I will say one more thing. The project will give you much more than you expect and trust me it is better than your wildest and craziest dream.
