About The Project
MYTH – “Me, You – the Humanity” will take place in Poland, from 14 to 21 of June
2024. It will have the participation of 5 countries (Poland, Italy, Greece, Türkiye and Armenia), each of them having a group consisting of 4 participants plus 1 leader, in a total of 25 people.
The purpose is to allow young people, between 16 and 19 years old, who are curious and believe in a more equal and inclusive society and who are also curious about heritage and other cultures, to meet and exchange ideas, and learn together.
The activities will be carried out using different non-formal education methodology:
Integration and team building games, as well as ice breakers and energizers will be fundamental to create a positive and united group atmosphere. In order to dive deeper into the topic of Mythology we will work with presentations, group work, role play, paint and collage, brainstorm and meeting, as well as music and audio-visual, in a combination of indoor and outdoor activities.
One of the most important parts of the project is the intercultural exchange, so each evening will have a theme and everyone will have the chance to know better different cultures. The topics are: Country, food, music, legends and myths (storytelling) and games.
One of the main activities of the project will be a play called “the gods of today”
The activity is an attempt to portray nowadays society using mythological ideas and characters. It is important, therefore, that the participants know this beforehand and feel comfortable with role-playing.
