The schedule of volunteer activities will be between 30 and 38 hours per week. Normally the weekly timetable will be Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm (volunteers may bring their lunch and eat at the office). In the case of occasional weekend work, the days worked will be added to their days off or vacation days. Occasionally, volunteers may work some afternoons per month, either in the office or by teleworking.
The framework of the volunteering project is characterised on the one hand by our work with European and mobility projects and programmes (ERASMUS+, ESC, etc.) and the importance we attach not only to the management of these projects and programmes, but also to reaching as many people as possible, especially young people, because of all the possibilities we believe these programmes offer to young people both in terms of learning and personal and professional development. On the other hand, the project framework is characterised by our focus on the social inclusion of children and young people with fewer opportunities in the region of Murcia through non-formal education activities to promote personal development.
There will be two options of activities in which our volunteers will participate:
Volunteer profile 1: The volunteer will take part in a variety of activities that combine administrative support, local engagement, and participation in European projects. These tasks will offer a rich learning experience in areas such as youth work, social inclusion, and international cooperation.The main responsibilities will include:
· Support in some administrative and desk-based tasks, related to project management and general management of the organization: e.g. updating Excel sheets, drafting of texts for projects and for dissemination purposes, drafting of info-packs for the participants in our courses and support in carrying out interviews for participants’ selection, updating our internal databases and drafting content for our website, creation and management of google forms, scheduling video calls and appointments.
· Participation in workshops and presentations on the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme, delivered in youth organizations, secondary schools in the city of Murcia, and at the University of Murcia.
· Involvement in local workshops and activities with young people at risk of social exclusion, as well as in intercultural learning workshops.
· Support in the local implementation of European projects under the ERASMUS+ programme.
· Logistical and operational support in youth and social inclusion projects developed by Euroacción in the Murcia region.
· Assistance in the organization of European training courses and Youth Exchanges facilitated by Euroacción on key themes related to its areas of expertise.
· Creation of monthly content (e.g., articles, social media posts, short videos) highlighting the volunteer’s activities and the organization’s work, thus contributing to the dissemination and visibility of project results.
Volunteer profile 2: The volunteer will be involved in a range of communication, outreach, and youth engagement activities aimed at promoting European and mobility programs. Their main tasks will include:
· Supporting the dissemination and visibility of European and mobility projects (such as ESC, Erasmus+, Eurodisea) through social media, the organization’s website, newsletters, and other communication channels.
· Contributing to the development and refinement of Euroacción’s communication strategy, helping to improve how we reach and engage with our target audiences.
· Participating in workshops and presentations about the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme, carried out in youth organizations, secondary schools in the city of Murcia, and the University of Murcia.
· Helping to promote local initiatives and European mobility opportunities among young people in the Region of Murcia and among users of our organization.
· Providing information and support to young people interested in European opportunities (such as ESC, Erasmus+, Eurodisea), helping them understand the programs and how to get involved.
· Social media content creation: creating and publishing weekly content (e.g., blog posts, short videos, reels, carousels, social media updates), mainly on our Instagram account, to showcase the activities of the organization and enhance the visibility of the projects and their results.
· Graphic design: creation of graphics, templates and presentations on CANVA, to be used for project dissemination, for our website, for our workshops etc.
· Supporting the management of and updating Euroaccion’s website.
· Continuous autonomous brainstorming to find new ideas for social media content creation, focusing on contents aimed at promoting our work and gaining more visibility in general.
In terms of learning opportunities, we offer our volunteers:
Knowledge: getting to know the concept of social exclusion, getting to know new working methodologies in the framework of Non-Formal Education, systematising their learning, reflecting and getting to know new economic, social, political and cultural realities (of Murcia region), and working within an inter/multicultural approach. Learning to develop and integrate their European awareness and values.
– Attitudes: developing their tolerance, empathy, assertiveness and positive attitude towards conflicts. Developing a greater European awareness.
– Competences: management of non-formal education activities, facilitation of workshops, language and communication skills, digital competences and conflict prevention and conflict resolution skills.
Our volunteering project seeks to promote the values promoted by the EU and the ETUC Programme, such as solidarity, equality, justice, respect, fight against exclusion and xenophobia, etc.
Practical arrangements: The schedule of the volunteer activities will be between 30 and 38 hours per week. The volunteer will work max. 38 hours on 5 days per week.
Holidays: According to the rules of ESC, volunteers must have 2 working days off per month.
Accommodation: The volunteers will live in a room in a shared flat located in the city of Murcia together with other volunteers. The room and the flat will be fully equipped, and electricity, water, gas and internet will be covered by the lead organization (till the amount of 30€ per volunteer).
Pocket money: The volunteer will receive the monthly rate foreseen by the Spanish NA, 186€ per month.
Food: The volunteer will receive 184€ for food every month.
Local transport: Every volunteer will have a chance to choose a bike or bus card provided by the hosting organization if it is needed.
Language support: The volunteer is entitled to receive language support with an online platform, as stated on the ESC programme guide.
Medical insurance: The volunteer will be covered by a private insurance that will cover all the expenses not covered by the public health system (health, accident and civil liability insurance).
Travel costs: The volunteer will receive financial support for travel from his/her country to Spain and from Spain to his/her country once the project is completed, up to a maximum amount established by the European Commission according to the distance band.
Visa and residence permit fees: The volunteer will receive financial support for visa arrangements (if required).
Deposit: The volunteer will have to make a 370€ deposit that will be reimbursed once the project is ended and the volunteer leaves tidy, clean, and with no damage in the private room and common areas, and if the volunteer doesn’t leave the project without a justified reason before it ends.

This project is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old who have not participated in any European volunteering project (EVS or ESC) before. We will give priority to the selection of young people with fewer opportunities.
The selection will be made based on the attitude, the willingness to participate, the motivation and the commitment to the values of the project rather than knowledge and skills of the candidates .
We value the responsibility, the spirit of initiative, the patience and the ability to step back from interpersonal conflicts in order to deal with them more effectively, and the enthusiasm and willingness to participate in the different activities offered.
No young person willing to participate in our project will be excluded for any reason (economic difficulties; social or geographical obstacles; cultural or ideological differences; sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, gender and gender identity, etc.).
