In September, the Health UP initiative made a meaningful impact in Romania. From the 11th to the 22nd, a dedicated team of 38 young individuals united to champion a healthier lifestyle. They focused on dispelling myths, combating misinformation, and improving access to vital health information and services. Their collaborative efforts during this period left a lasting impact on the local community, embodying the essence of Health UP’s mission.

My journey with the Erasmus+ program in Romania was kind of a life-changing adventure. It was an opportunity which not only broadened my horizons, but also left me with cherished memories and lifelong friends. I liked the intercultural evenings the most, when we learned something new about the culture and cuisine of other countries. The Armenian cultural evening was especially unforgettable, during which I had happy feelings when I taught Armenian dances to my foreign friends. This program has given me many good friends who are compassionate, respectful, understanding, friendly, appreciative. I really liked the cities and culture of Romania and I was more attracted by the antiquity of the cities, because I love old settlements, old sculptures. In summary, my Erasmus+ experience in Romania was a perfect blend of education, cultural exchange, and personal growth. It provided me with valuable skills, unforgettable memories, and a global network of friends. I will forever be grateful for this incredible opportunity that enriched my life in ways I could have never imagined.

A few months ago, I couldn’t even imagine that I would have the chance to fly to another country for Erasmus+. But it happened! From the moment I passed the interview to the moment I landed in a new country, it was a whirlwind of excitement. And let me tell you, the experience was beyond my wildest dreams!
When I arrived at the airport, I was greeted by a crowd of strangers who would soon become my closest friends. Despite our cultural differences, we quickly found a common language and formed an incredible bond.
The place where I stayed, Șimon, felt like a second home to me. The natural beauty and mountains reminded me of our Armenia, Dilijan. It was a perfect backdrop for unforgettable memories.
When my participation in the program came to an end, saying goodbye to the people and nature I was used to was one of the most difficult things. But the memories and friendships that I have will remain for the rest of my life.
I can’t stress enough how life-changing these programs are. Everyone should seize the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ at least once. I’m forever grateful to “Future In Our Hands” for giving me this incredible chance. Thank you!

Hi there! My name is Anush, and I want to share my incredible journey during the Erasmus+ short program “Health Up” in Romania. It was my first time participating in an Erasmus+ program, and the excitement and curiosity were at an all-time high as I embarked on this adventure focused on health and well-being.
The “Health Up” program had an enticing premise – diving deep into the world of health. As a health enthusiast, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of health, including physical fitness, nutrition, mental well-being, and overall holistic wellness.
What made my Erasmus+ experience even more special was the cultural exchange that took place in the heart of Romania. Interacting with fellow participants from different corners of the world, each bringing their unique perspectives on health based on their cultures, was an eye-opener. These interactions not only broadened my understanding of health but also encouraged me to think critically and appreciate the diverse approaches to well-being from around the globe.
In the beginning, the first few days were a whirlwind of emotions—nervousness, excitement, and a tad bit of fear of the unknown. But the warm reception and hospitality of the Romanian people quickly eased my anxieties, making me feel at home in this new environment.
Of course, the adventure in Romania extended beyond the program activities. Together with my newfound friends, we explored the breathtaking landscapes, delved into the historical landmarks, and savored the traditional cuisine of Romania.
These excursions were not just about sightseeing; they were opportunities to immerse ourselves in a rich tapestry of culture and history, leaving a lasting imprint on my perspective of the world.
As the program came to an end, I took a moment to reflect on the amazing growth and transformation I had experienced during my time in Romania. The Erasmus+ “Health Up” program had not only equipped me with invaluable knowledge and skills related to health but had also opened my eyes to the beauty of diversity and the richness of cultural exchange.
This first Erasmus+ experience has laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to international collaboration and a deep passion for health and well-being, solidifying the adage: “Once Erasmus, always Erasmus.”

During this program, not only did I have the fortunate chance to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds, but I also had the invaluable opportunity to engage with people who possessed completely different thinking patterns, mentalities, and lifestyles. This exposure was truly eye-opening and allowed me to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diversity that exists in our world.
One of the most fascinating aspects of this program was the numerous occasions I had to engage in discussions about the cultural characteristics of all the countries represented by the participants. These conversations were not only enlightening, but they also provided me with a unique lens through which I could observe and analyze the diverse traditions, customs, and values that each culture holds dear. Such discussions fostered an environment of mutual learning, where we were able to share our personal experiences, shed light on our own cultural nuances, and collectively broaden our global perspectives.
Participating in this program has undoubtedly been a transformative experience for me. It has broadened my horizons, challenged my preconceived notions, and expanded my capacity for empathy and understanding. Through the interactions I had during this program, I have come to realize the immense value of embracing differences and appreciating viewpoints that may initially seem foreign or unfamiliar.
Looking ahead, I am filled with hope and excitement for the prospect of participating in similar Erasmus+ projects. The experiences and knowledge gained through this program have fueled my curiosity and passion for exploring different cultures, engaging with diverse individuals, and deepening my understanding of the world around me. I am eager to continue engaging in projects that promote cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, as I believe they are instrumental in fostering a more inclusive and harmonious global community.
This journey I embarked on through this program has been life-changing. The diversity of thoughts, mentalities, and lifestyles that I encountered has broadened my perspective and granted me a newfound appreciation for the richness and complexity of our world. I am grateful for this unique opportunity and I am confident that the insights and connections forged during this experience will continue to shape my personal growth and aspirations for years to come.

Participating in your first international program outside of your home country can be a life-changing experience. For me it’s been an opportunity to explore different cultures, meet people from around the world, and gain a broader perspective on global issues.
I felt mix of an excitement, curiosity, and maybe a little anxiety, but it’s a sign for personal and professional growth that I’ll definitely remember it for the rest of my life.
This Erasmus plus project was fantastic opportunity for me to study abroad even if just for a week or two and experience new cultures. The place, the people and whole project itself motivates me more and more to participate in this kind of project as it gave me a lot of comfort, knowledge, confidence and much more .
The most interesting part for me during this project is being included in sessions, discussions, debates.
During these moments I had an opportunity to get to know those people better who surrounded me in these two weeks. It was challenging for me to speak or to be an active participant as it was my first time but I was getting so much information while listening to others and I overcame a lot of fears while trying to be more active.
I learned things I never knew before about either health or other global issues which I’m sure I’m going to use it one day .

“Health Up: Embracing a Healthy Lifestyle,” was a game-changer for me. It taught me some valuable health tips like eating balanced meals, exercising regularly, and managing stress. These lessons were not just useful but also easy to apply in my daily life.
As a young person, this project was a fantastic opportunity. I even got to lead a session about the project’s progress, which helped me improve my public speaking skills. This experience boosted my confidence and taught me how to express my ideas clearly.
In short, “Health Up” made healthy living simple and accessible. It gave me practical tools for a better life and helped me grow both personally and professionally. I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I know it will continue to benefit me in the future.

Every Erasmus + project I participated in has a unique story and wonderful people who create each memorable moment in it.
“Health Up” Erasmus+ project dedicated to healthy lifestyle and mental health was a unique opportunity for us to tackle the pressing issues that affect people worldwide. Throughout the project, we had many interactive sessions and initiatives aimed at promoting healthy habits and addressing mental health challenges. We delved into research and practical strategies, sharing our findings and experiences with one another. The international aspect of the project broadened our horizons, offering fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to these issues. As a result, we left the project with not only a deeper understanding of the importance of well-being but also a network of friends and collaborators who continue to work together on projects to improve mental health and encourage healthier lifestyles within our own communities. This Erasmus+ experience was truly a springboard for change and a testament to the power of international cooperation in addressing critical health concerns.
It also left many connections and gave an opportunity to meet many interesting and creative people!
