From 10–21 May, we had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ Training Course “NICE AI: Navigating Intercultural Communication and Exploration with AI Tools,” funded by the European Union and held in Abovyan, Armenia.
The training brought together participants from different backgrounds to explore the role of artificial intelligence in intercultural communication, learning, and creativity. Throughout the project, we discovered a variety of AI tools and discussed how they can be used to support communication, storytelling, education, and collaboration in an increasingly connected world.
One of the most valuable aspects of the training was its use of non-formal education methods. Through interactive workshops, discussions, group work, simulations, and creative exercises, we explored topics such as cultural identity, diversity, inclusion, and the opportunities and challenges created by AI. These methods made the learning process engaging, practical, and accessible to everyone.
Among the most memorable activities were the theatre and role-play sessions. Through acting exercises and intercultural scenarios, we explored different perspectives and communication styles while also discovering how AI can contribute to creative expression. These activities demonstrated that technology and creativity can complement each other in meaningful ways.
The project helped us develop several important skills. We learned how AI can be used to support communication, storytelling, and creative processes. We gained new perspectives on culture, identity, and diversity, improved our ability to work in an international environment, strengthened our teamwork and communication skills, and had the opportunity to practice English throughout the training.
Beyond the educational aspect, the project gave us something equally valuable: meaningful human connections. During these days, we met people from different countries and cultures, exchanged experiences, shared ideas, and built friendships that extended beyond the training sessions. The atmosphere was open, supportive, and full of positive energy, allowing everyone to feel comfortable expressing themselves and learning from one another.
Together, we spent days learning, creating, discussing, and collaborating. We shared unforgettable moments, played games, danced, laughed until late at night, and created memories that will stay with us for years to come. Through these shared experiences, we discovered how quickly genuine connections can form when people come together with curiosity, openness, and mutual respect.
This project showed us that learning can be meaningful while still being enjoyable. It demonstrated how innovative tools such as artificial intelligence can be combined with intercultural learning, creativity, and personal development. At the same time, it reminded us that technology is most powerful when it helps people connect, communicate, and better understand one another.
We are grateful to the Erasmus+ Programme, the European Union, the organizers, trainers, and all participants who contributed to making this experience possible. The project provided not only new knowledge and practical skills, but also lasting memories, valuable friendships, and inspiration for future initiatives.
“NICE AI” was more than a training course—it was a space where learning, creativity, cultural exchange, and human connection came together to create an unforgettable experience.
