Project info:
Aim:
To work with the xenophobia, prejudices and stereotypes by photography and video as a powerful tools that youth workers can use to tackle these issues. Nowadays in situation in ukraine to support youth workers in promotion cultural diversity and understanding by creating photo and video materials for sharing in our public and social media.
Goals:
– to develop a common understanding of the concepts of intercultural learning, diversity management, prejudice and stereotyping;
– to understand the concept of manipulation and learn techniques to defend against it;
– to understand the principles of photography and video production, composition and practical application in youth work practice;
– to learn the basic elements of storytelling and to use it in a campaign or other communication strategy in the youth work;
– to create a short video-documentary on a selected topic and present it on public exhibition.
Travel & reimbursement:
Travelling by public transport.
Selected participants needs to be in the city of Ružomberok / Banská Bystrica on monday 9th of May at 3pm CET.

by train / bus (connections can be found on this website); trains can be booked here.
the best airports to land are:
Vienna international airport (bus connection to Bratislava, then train to Ružomberok)
Bratislava airport (train to Ružomberok)
possibly Prague airport (with direct train connections to Ružomberok) or
Budapest airport (with bus connections to Banská Bystrica).
Travelling by car:
Selected participants needs to be at the venue (chata Magurka) on monday 9th of May at 4pm CET.
There is a free parking spots at the venue. The highway toll can be bought here.
You will be reimbursed based on the travel documents to your bank account after the training course. The reimbursement will be transferred to your accounts after obtaining your travel documents, maximum 2 weeks after the training course. Reimbursement will be calculated and paid in EUR.
Accommodation and meals:
The whole chalet will be booked only for us, we will stay in 2-, 3- and 4-bed rooms (each room has the own bathroom and toilet). Activities will happen in the conference room or outside, according the weather 🙂
We will arrange the meals according the requirements of the participants (vegetarian, vegan, lactose free etc).
Visa:
For those participants needing visa we will issue an invitation letters immediately after receiving the confirmation of participants. We have the budget for each person of 180,-€ (for visa fee, travel to embassy, visa tax or insurance).

Please once you have selected your participant, let us know, we will send them the registration form.

Requirements: 18+ of age, english speaking on communication level, active in youth work.
Please select your participants until 20th of March!
CoVid measures:
We will accept only fully vaccinated participants or those who overcame the covid within last 3 months
We will also require the negative test (antigen or PCR) done maximum 24h before departure to Slovakia.
We will cover up to 10,-€ for one test. Please keep the bill.
