From November 2023 to July 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer in Bulgaria, an experience that turned out to be one of the most unforgettable chapters of my life.
Throughout this 8-9 month period, I immersed myself in a variety of activities, primarily focused on capturing and sharing the vibrant life of the community. My role involved attending various events, creating videos and photos, conducting interviews, and then editing and posting these on social media, along with writing reports. While I had prior experience in this field, the challenge and excitement of doing it in a new environment made the task both enjoyable and rewarding.
During my time in Bulgaria, I explored numerous cities and villages, including Burgas, Sofia, Ruse, Ardino, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, as well as many smaller villages. I spent significant time living in Veliko Tarnovo and Sliven. Bulgaria offered me a wealth of experiences, from exploring its rich cultural tapestry to forming lasting friendships. I connected not only with fellow volunteers but also with local residents, with whom I traveled and contributed to various community projects.
One of the highlights of my time in Bulgaria was undertaking my first solo trip at the age of 19. Venturing alone to Romania, Greece, and Belgium, I gained confidence and independence, enriching my travels and broadening my horizons.
In these 8 months, I created some of the best memories of my life, filled with personal growth, adventure, and meaningful connections.
