Barev!🌸
It’s already been more than four months since the beginning of November when I took a flight from Poland and arrived for the first time in Armenia to do my long-term European Solidarity Corps with FIOH.
It’s been happening so much, I don’t even know where to start!Â
I was landing at the place quite slowly, taking my time to accommodate and find my pace.Â
I am staying with the host family of three sisters and their lovely cat Rosie. They have been a great support from the very beginning, making it easy for me to feel like home.
On a daily basis I’m helping in the FIOH office, mostly doing tasks in promotion and administration sections. A big part of FIOH initiatives are Erasmus+ projects which I help to manage and monitor. Not long after my arrival to Armenia we hosted a TC in Abovyan about playback theater, which was fabulous. (Soon another TC is happening – looking forward!)
The biggest turning point, however, was my On-Arrival Training in Bakuriani in Georgia. I got to know lots of great people who also volunteer in the Caucasus region like me, and some of them also stay in Yerevan. Their company is really irreplaceable to me, they are definitely my comfort people here<3
During the week I’m working in the office and on the weekends and during my days off I travel as much as possible. And take a lot of photos!
Armenia has so many things to offer – beautiful nature, breathtaking views, long-standing traditions and hospitality coming from their roots. This place is truly unique.
I promised myself to make the most out of my stay here and see as many places as I can. I intend to keep that promise and I am very excited for all that is yet to come;)
