Experiential Education Training Course for Youth Workers
📍 Berlin, Germany | 08–18 June 2026
“The Mountain Speaks for Itself” is an international professional exchange for youth workers focused on experiential education methods and aligned with the European Youth Training Strategy (YTS).
The training will take place in Berlin, Germany, in a youth center located in the Grunewald forest area, offering an immersive outdoor learning environment.
🎯 Project Objectives
During this 10-day training course, participants will:

Explore how experiential education works in practice

Learn about its history, principles, and educational philosophy

Understand reflection models and group development phases
-
Experience both the participant and trainer roles
-
Strengthen leadership and social competencies
-
Design and create their own experiential learning program
-
Exchange best practices and non-formal learning tools from different countries
The program includes outdoor adventure activities, team-building exercises, forest and water-based learning experiences, reflection groups, and intercultural evenings.
👥 Who Can Participate
Participants must:

Be 18+ years old
-
Be employed, trained, or interested in youth work
-
Have conversational English skills
-
Be motivated to actively participate throughout the entire project
Partner countries include: Germany, Italy, Turkey, Armenia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Romania.
🏕 Accommodation & Food

Accommodation is provided in individual tents (with access to cozy indoor spaces such as a yurt).

Toilets and showers are located in the main building.

Participants are fully catered during the week (vegetarian/vegan lunches; multicultural dinner options).
💶 Funding & Travel
The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.

Program, materials, accommodation, and meals are fully covered.

Travel costs are reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance bands after full participation.
