Volunteer Opportunity at Vilnius special nursery – kindergarten “Čiauškutis”
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Vilnius special nursery – kindergarten “Čiauškutis”, has been providing special pre-school education services for more than 30 years. The kids who are attending the institution have various developmental disorders: significant, moderate, slight underdevelopment of speech, slowed speech development, phonetic disorders, hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities, complex disorders, disorders of various development.
One of the main goals of Vilnius special nursery-kindergarten “Čiauškutis” is the socialization of children, health protection and strengthening, elimination of speech and speech disorders, and the formation of hygienic skills. Great attention is paid to the harmonious physical and psychological development of the child, the child’s speech is developed with the help of alternative communication. Vilnius special nursery-kindergarten “Čiauškutis” forms the content of education, which corresponds to the basic provisions of education, the goals of the special preschool institution and the needs of children and their parents (guardians), prepares individual educational programs for preschool children special.
The volunteers will assist teachers with various activities with kids: music, sport, art classes, swimming classes, etc.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
We offer volunteers accommodation, a monthly allowance for food, and pocket money.
