Training Course on Bibliotherapy & Storytelling for Youth Inclusion

LIGHT – Literature Inspired Growth and Healing Tools is an international Erasmus+ training course designed to empower youth workers with innovative methods to support young people at risk of social exclusion through bibliotherapy and storytelling.
This project focuses on developing deeper emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication skills among youth workers, enabling them to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where young people can express themselves freely and grow.
At the heart of the training is the use of literature as a transformative tool. Participants will explore how books, poems, stories, and other narrative forms can be used to encourage self-reflection, emotional expression, and personal development among young people—especially those with fewer opportunities.
Through a dynamic non-formal learning approach, the course combines interactive workshops, storytelling practices, creative expression, and experiential activities. Participants will gain practical skills in facilitating discussions, guiding emotional processes, and integrating creative methods such as writing, art, and movement into their youth work.
The project specifically addresses the needs of marginalized youth, including those facing socio-economic challenges, cultural barriers, or social exclusion. It equips youth workers with tools to recognize these challenges and respond with sensitivity, inclusivity, and effective support strategies.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to apply bibliotherapy and storytelling techniques in their daily work, fostering self-esteem, emotional well-being, and active participation of young people in society. The project also promotes international networking and collaboration among youth organizations working in the field of inclusion.
