Living Characters | Youth Exchange on Language, Culture & Identity
📅 When: 8–17 September 2025 (including travel days)
📍 Where: Drusti, Latvia
🌍 Language is all around us – but it’s more than words. It carries stories, values, and symbols that shape how we see ourselves and others. Yet culture isn’t something frozen in time – it evolves with us. What if you could play with it, reimagine it, and create new ways to connect?
🌱 Living Characters is a 9-day youth exchange bringing together 30 young people from 5 countries to explore identity, language, and inclusion through Live Action Role-Play (LARP), storytelling, symbolic creation, and collaborative learning. We’ll dive into our cultural roots, invent fictional alphabets, create new worlds, and explore what unites us across difference.
This project might be for you if you:
🔸 Feel curious about your cultural roots, or disconnected from them
🔸 Want to explore how language and symbols shape identity and connection
🔸 Love creative learning methods like storytelling, LARP, and co-creation
🔸 Enjoy deep conversations with people from diverse backgrounds
🔸 Want to bring back what you’ve learned and create change in your community
💡 You’ll co-create LARP & symbol related digital materials, and help host a local event to share the project’s outcomes!
💵 Travel, accommodation & meals are 100% covered by the Erasmus+ Programme.
