What happens when you throw a group of adventurers into the wild Armenian landscape? Magic. And by magic, we mean learning to survive, hike, and have a blast while doing it.
In the “We Greater Than I” project, participants had the unique opportunity to learn and practice essential survival skills. We gained hands-on experience in emergency evacuation, administering first aid, and navigating with a compass—skills that proved invaluable for building both confidence and resilience.
The program included three hiking expeditions through Armenia’s diverse landscapes, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the country’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Along the way, we encountered breathtaking mountain views, dense forests, and ancient historical landmarks. These moments fostered a deep connection with Armenia’s land and history.
Each hike presented both physical challenges and moments of uncertainty, which we overcame by relying on teamwork and mutual support. These experiences reinforced a powerful lesson: when we collaborate and share our strengths, we can face even the toughest obstacles with courage.
Beyond survival techniques and cultural immersion, this project became a journey of self-discovery. We explored not only Armenia but also our own capabilities, strengths, and fears. Working closely with people from different backgrounds enriched our understanding and broadened our perspectives, helping us grow both as individuals and as a community.
This experience showed us the transformative power of cooperation and collective effort. Together, we learned to embrace challenges with openness and confidence, realizing that every step forward is easier when taken with the support of others.
Ultimately, the “We Greater Than I” project allowed us to form lasting connections, appreciate the beauty of a new culture, and rediscover the joy of learning through shared adventure.
