I’d like to express my big thank you for all you do, dear FIOH❤️ And wanted to take some of your time to express how much I enjoyed being one of your YE participants.
So, great locality in Abovyan, 6 countries hanging out with each other, living with roommates from mixed countries, working in mixed cultural groups – this is how we enjoyed during the YE “Road to the Change”, which happened between 4 and 12nd of October, 2021.
Armenia as a host welcomed Spain, United Kingdom, Poland, Croatia and Bulgaria. Our days were filled with different workshops providing a lot of information, ice-breakers, team-building and trust-building activities and so on. The topic of project was to address the problems of youngsters with fewer opportunities through art/photo shooting, dance, music and social advertisements.
My favourite event was the Intercultural Evening, which was aimed to present and give some interesting facts and customs of each country to all participants. Our group showed one of our traditional rituals – the Armenian wedding, which seemed joyful and super strange to other participants😄)
Also we got the possibility to taste national food and drinks, learn many interesting facts about participating countries and dance national dances. This kind of event shows us how interesting are all of the participating countries, and how many things we have in common.
I appreciate the valuable knowledge I’ve gained from this YE experience, along with the motivation, new perspectives, endless memories, and lifelong friendships.
