Design, education and creativeness shape the future for a more sustainable and nicer world. Art and design will meet the social needs and the volunteers all together will paint and decorate a Cultural Youth Center and will create object and furniture from waste material. Participation, creativity, active citizenship and youth leadership are the key words of this workcamp!
12-19 JULY 2015:
ENVIROMENT AND NATURE PROGRAM
Came to Salento to contribute in environmental conservation while making local friends and help to protect and preserve the beautiful natural landscape and the wonderful beaches.
Workshop includes guerrilla gardening, eco- design workshop, Italian classes and exploring the country.
21-28 JULY 2015: EVENTS CREATION FOR KIDS AND YOUTH PROGRAM
STEP OUT of your comfort zone and TEST yourself while helping Jump In Association to create an event for the kids with less opportunity within the community.
Create interesting programme for them, teach your language, create fun workshop and manage a communication and marketing campaign to attract them to participate.
ITALIAN LESSONS
The participants will receive Italian lessons for 3 days during the week and for 3 hours a day.
At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of the Italian course.
FOOD
Breakfast will be prepared by the volunteer themselves at the accommodation’s facility. Lunch: Most of the days we will spend outdoors, so packed lunch will be provided.
Dinner: In local restaurant, tasting the typical Italian food.
ACCOMMODATION
You will be accommodate in a local B&B.
Each room is suitable for 5/6 people. The rooms are quite spacey and every room has a bathroom inside. The participants will also be responsible for cleaning their room and keeping them tidy. The participants are responsible for any damage caused by indecent behavior or lack of attention and will have to cover the cost.
FREE TIME
During your free time you can visit the villages near Poggiardo. You can go to the sea by bike or visit significant cultural heritage spots like Otranto or Castro. You can do snorkeling, surfing, fishing and other summer activities.
Jump in can arrange excursion to Alberobello, Ostuni, Lecce, areas of great cultural and historical importance. This excursion will cost between 10 -30 Euro per person, price depends on number of participants. You will receive different proposal and you can choose the best place to visit according to your preference and liking.
