EVS is a Volunteering activity – working with an organization on specific activities to help the local community mostly in Europe. As a volunteer you can work in a wide range of fields, such as culture, youth, sports, children, cultural heritage, arts, animal welfare, environment and development cooperation. And most projects offer a mix of specific activities in several of these fields.and It can be any period between 2 weeks and 12 months.My project was 12months in Spain Murcia.I did a lot of different kind of activities in my accepting organization in Proyecto Abraham such as bank food educational trainings.
I would like to mention I could find almost everything whatever I searched before about working in a team.I found a very nice team where everyone had his own job helping each other as a strong team without disturbing each other.I met the best chief in my life.I learned a lot from her.How well and right she could treat to her workers and how much respect she got. It was just a magic for me. I can say that one of the the happiest parts for me during my EVS was my Job .So the expectations about my job were totally realized .
The hardest part for me was to live with other volunteers,because we were absolutely different personalities,with different cultures,mentalities.It was quite hard and I was not ready to leave my armenian character and to accept too much freedom of everything as they have.
EVS gave me the opportunity to recognize the good and bad sides of Europe. it gave me opportunity to travel in Europe,to see different cultures,to meet different personalities,nationalities to be more punctual, more serious, more confident.and EVS made one of my dreams reality.My dream’s name was ITALY.Thanks to this project.
