I remember being in university and always thinking of participating in different European programs. ESC, Erasmus those names weren’t necessarily familiar to me, but I knew that I wanted to get an opportunity to . It was somehow destined that out of all ESC opportunities I was supposed to go to “EPVP” project in particular and have the best experience of my life.
Hi, my name is Anush, I am 23 years old, and this my story of telling you, of how an ESC can change lives.
I believe there are limited opportunities in lives, to be at the right place at the right time, with the right people. And this ESC project was one of those undeniably amazing .
I left Armenia with a lot of second thoughts and doubts. Who is going to be my roommate? Are the people going to be nice? Is Romania a beautiful country? So many questions that soon would have been answered.
It was a very snowy day, when I arrived, all of my other flat mates were already at home, waiting for my arrival. The minute I walked in the house I felt a lot of love and warmth, towards the people that I  didn’t even know then. There were six of us. Three Caucasian girls and 2 guys from France and Italy and my roommate from Spain. I don’t think in any other circumstances 6 different people from all around the world would have this opportunity of sharing a household and later becoming best friends for life.
I believe that even if I really wanted to I couldn’t put it into words how close we came over the course of our project. We have done dozens of activities for Romanian youth, we have created many
campaigns and executed Erasmus projects with great success. We have had many road trips together to the all sides of Eastern Europe. We had many interesting debates and movie nights.
We shared, we learned, we laughed and we have grown with each other. These people have changed not only the course of my life, but also how I view and see a lot of things. My perspective
toward European Union has never been so vivid. I am proud that I also got a chance to represent my country and my culture to other young people, who had little to no prior information about Armenia and Armenian people.
I am proud that I have gained so many friend all over the world and I can say that wherever I go, I have a warm home
waiting to host me in their country. The hardships and challenges, the support and love given and received during the project is irreplaceable. Finding home in a place where you thought you couldn’t. Of course of all these, wouldn’t be possible without the master mind behind this project, I want to thank Andrei Sasu, for writing EPVP project, choosing us and giving opportunity to experience such unforgettable moments. He has always been there to teach, to guide us, and to mentor us through it all. The job that he is doing for Europen Union and participants who benefit from all of this can not be payed back. Hopefully, I will be reunited with all the people that I can call a family oversees and we would be able to relieve all those emotions again and make better ones.

Til we meet again.
