The hosting NGO is Ballade:
Ballade is committed both
– in INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES: youth-exchanges and welcoming volunteers.
– ON LOCAL LEVEL, Ballade involves in several social & educational actions with cultural projects towards children and youngsters that are, for economic, cultural, migration or educational purposes, in an environment lacking cultural roots and activities. Ballade’s musicians and pupils play on stage about 3 concerts/month. Volunteers are involved in these projects, both attending these workshops and involving with administrative team to work on pedagogy, communication, applications.
Team is mainly musicians: 10 are teaching in our socio-cultural workshops, 2 in administration.
Ballade welcomes young people on civic service and trainees. Our big challenges in 2022/23 are
– to organize trainings on local and international levels aiming to give to artists some tools and knowledge to understand situation of these people with less opportunities and cope with unusual situations,
-to develop our workshops on a local level.
Ballade welcomes 4 EVS/year. They are accommodated together in a flat near Ballade’s office. For this application, we expect candidates who are musicians or singers. Candidates should have capacity to work in intercultural team and should like to teach to children and youngsters. Speaking some French is a plus. If not, English or Spanish can be communication language during first months.
Please not that being fully vaccinated is a must, and it will be beneficial if you will be able to play a musical instrument.
