Well, it’s going to be long. Long but not enough to express everything that I would like to say.

I will start from the very beginning. A girl from Armenia fell in love with Italy. How? Why? I don’t know. But it is the fact. And I was trying to find an EVS project in Italy and thus combine those two experiences: to be in Italy as it was my distant love and doing EVS as an “unforgettable experiance” as they say. After 2 years of trials, after around 100 applications, long months of waiting for responses, I managed to do it thanks to FIOH. People were telling me,”Choose a nice project, it shouldn’t necessarily be in Italy”. But I knew that sooner or later I will find my opportunity especially in Italy, because I wanted it too much. And here I am. SUPERhappy, SUPERexcited and SUPERenthusiastic. My project was in Projects and Resources office of the Municipality of Cremona. Thanks to my colleagues my integration was so easy, I didn’t have big problems, difficulties, also because the knowledge of the language helped me.
Of course, in the beginning it was tough, I was trying to figure out how the things work in Italy, I was lost in the labrinth of languages, I was confused in many things. But once I understood how is everything done, my EVS became a wonderful journey, full of amazing people, nice places, unforgettable moments, gained skills, new friends and contacts.
So many things I want to say, but so few words I manage to find.
It’s true that every good thing comes to its end, but it’s also true that every end is a beginning of something new!
I am positive and ready to accept new challenges but I have to accept now, that I am really sad. I went out from my comfort zone 1 year ago, and I found another comfort zone. I left my home in Armenia to go to Italy. And then I had to leave my home in Italy, because YES, it became my home. I will miss my second home – this wonderful small town of Cremona, which is splendid.
Once back in Armenia, I will try to apply the knowledge and the inspiration I’ve got during my EVS project, thus making a change and trying to make our world a little bit better place.

I want to thank all the people who made this experience this amazing, who gave me support, love, friendship, inspiration and motivation.

Special thanks to my sending organization “Future in Our Hands” Youth NGO
and my hosting organization Servizio Progetti e Risorse – Comune di Cremona♥️
