Some words about Bisceglie
Battisti-Ferraris is in Bisceglie, a community of Apulia. Bisceglie has 60.000 inhabitants and lies nearby the Adriatic Sea. It is 40 km far from Bari and 100 km far from Foggia. The town has gone through a period of cultural and economical growth thanks to the development of olive-oil, fruit and vegetables production and textile and stone-cutting activities. The town is in a flat area, and its surroundings are dotted with olive groves, vineyards and fruit. In the last few years, thanks to the proximity of the sea and to food and wine festivals aiming at promoting typical local products, tourism has gone through an outstanding development. It is possible to do many types of sport or leisure activities in nearby centres. In the last few months a cultural centre for youngsters, called Laboratorio Urbano Palazzo Tupputi, has been offering important social gathering and inclusion activities.

Battisti-Ferraris
Junior Secondary School Battisti-Ferraris is a school born in 2013 through the unification of two junior secondary schools which had existed in the town of Bisceglie for several years. It consists of three seats named respectively “Battisti”, “Ferraris” and “Cosmai”. The first two are located in “via Pozzo Marrone” and the last one in “corso Cosmai”.
